The HTML1ncc day is overseen with a Director General who has his rank as Lieutenant-General. He is supported by two Additional Director Generals (A and B) of two-star rank (Major-General Rear-Admiral, Major-General or Air vice-Marshal). Five Brigadier level officers as well as other civil officials assist him. The headquarters is in Delhi. There are 17 Directorates which are situated in the state capitals led by an officer with the rank of Major General from each of the three Services. Depending upon their size and the growth of NCC across these states Directorateshave at least 14 Group headquarters beneath them . They exercise their command and control of the NCC in the state. Each group is led by an officer with the rank of Brigadier or equivalent also known as Group Commander. In each NCC Group Headquarters control 5-7 units (BNs) commanded by Colonel/Lt. Col or an equivalent. The Battalion is comprised of companies, which are overseen by the Associate NCC Officer (ANO) of the level of Lieutenant or Major. There 95 Group Headquarters throughout the country. They exercise oversight over a system of six hundred and seventy-six Army Wing Units (including girls and technical units), 60 Naval Wing Units as well as Air Squadrons. There are two training establishments namely Officers Training School, Kamptee (Nagpur, Maharashtra) and Women Officers Training School, Gwalior.

ASSOCIATE NCC OFFICER (ANO)

ANO is an important connection in the NCC organization between the battalion and cadets. In actual fact, ANO is the feeder node of NCC since he/she is the one who is in direct communication with the students through during the entire year. TIME of SELECTION : July/August month of every year.

ENROLMENT of STUDENTS as NCC CADETS:

  1. Eligibility Conditions
    • Citizen of India.
    • Bearing good moral character.
    • In a school.
    • Conforms to the medical standards prescribed by the doctor.
    • Age Senior Division/Wing (Boys/Girls) Age Senior Division/Wing (Boys/Girls) between 15 and 23 years.
    • The Enrolment Time for Senior Divisions/Wings (Boys/Girls) - Three years.
  2. Physical exam: This is first step of selection procedure. It involves chin-up, run or sit-up, etc.
  3. Written test and Interview.
  4. Application for Enrolment.
  5. A student who wishes to be enrolled in the Senior Division shall apply to the ANOOfficer Commanding the nearest NCC Unit.
  6. Medical Examination.

DOCUMENTATION:

  1. 10th and 12th class mark sheet.
  2. Certificate for the Blood Group.
  3. Aadhar Card photocopy.
  4. Cadet/Guardian's Bank account details photocopy.
  5. Admission fee receipt for the college.
  6. 04 Passport size photo , civil uniform.

TRAINING PERIOD

The total duration of training for SD or SW is 3 years with the possibility of extending it by one year permissible on exceptional condition. Each cadet must undergo training in service for a duration that is at least four hours per week during the course of their training. Training is not completed during the time when the college or school where a cadet enrolled is closed for the duration of a holiday. Each cadet has completed instruction in service at a minimum duration that is 75% of all hours of the college's annual. Every cadet, who has completed one year of instruction and is on their (second year) has to go to an annual camp for training of 9-10 days to meet the requirement for passing the certificate test.
